Tips and Tricks for Returning Beverage Containers

Here are some recommendations for making your experience with the Quick Stop Bottle Depot fast, easy and convenient. These practices will also enable us to process your drop offs more quickly. We appreciate your partnering with us in our endeavour to help Alberta go green.

  • Bring glass in boxes
  • Separate 0-1 litre containers in plastic bags
  • Separate over 1 litre containers in plastic bags
  • Empty containers of any liquid
  • Leave caps on
  • We accept beverage containers only

Containers Should Be Rinsed

Please empty and rinse your containers and sort as much as possible before bringing them to the depot. Also caps no longer have to be removed from all containers.

Bring Empties Only

Please bring only empty containers, leave any garbage at home, pop and beer cans may be left in cartons and we will recycle the cardboard. Please bring glass beer bottles back in their original containers, we accept all import beer bottles if they were purchased in Alberta.

Large Loads

Large loads must be at the depot one half hour before closing. If you have a large load you may be asked to use our drop-off service. You will be asked to fill-out and sign a form stating what you have drop-off. We will contact you when your order has been counted and sorted.
